lyon township public library groundbreaking ceremony
New Library Project Progress On Monday, December 16, a group of Lyon Township Public Library staff, board members and library stakeholders met for a short groundbreaking ceremony at the new site. We are so excited to *officially* kick off the start of the new library project! Due to the condition of the site, the lack of parking availability and other safety concerns we were unable to open up the groundbreaking ceremony to the public, but we hope to invite the everyone to another event in the future! Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram, where we will share pictures and updates. The Library Board and LTPL staff are thankful to our team – Quinn Evans Architects, Civil Engineering Solutions and Frank Rewold & Sons for their dedication to the new library project. Community Document Shredding We are partnering with Salem-South Lyon District Library to offer document shredding events to members of our communities! Consumer fraud and identity theft are putting communities at risk. To raise awareness and to promote privacy protection, we are providing paper shredding for local residents. Lyon Township residents may bring a box or two of confidential papers that need to be securely destroyed to the Salem-South Lyon Library on Saturday, May 10 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. All documents will be destroyed on site.
