Maybury Farm has some great fall activities and celebrations to keep visitors busy! Corn mazes, pumpkins, cider and donuts and our fall-themed celebrations, along with our farm animal family, are sure to warm your heart on those chilly days to come.
Corn Maze weekends run September 20 through October 27 – Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. Both the full nine-acre family-friendly maze and our one acre mini-maze start with a bumpy wagon ride through fields, where leaf peepers may enjoy fall’s beautiful display. There’s a new maze design that will include a scavenger hunt.
For a fun challenge, come out and try the corn maze after dark – be sure to bring a light or pick one up in the general store. And don’t forget to spend time visiting the farm animals, checking out the educational displays and visiting the playground before the maze or after your return wagon ride!
The farm will stay open until 7 p.m. on maze days. Plus, fresh, delicious Parmenter’s cider and donuts will be available for purchase in the general store.
The Great Fall Festival, the farm’s most popular event of the year, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6. The weekend festival features live music, activities, games, demonstrations, a tractor-drawn wagon ride to the corn maze plus delicious eats, treats and beverages from one of the visiting food trucks. Also be sure to stop by the general store for old-time candy and other snacks.
By popular demand the old-fashioned Blue Ribbon Contests return – including a chili cook off and a baking competition – so come test your favorite recipes this fall!
As always, there will be pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins – big or small, you’ll find the perfect one to take home!
The educator-led farm tours continue through the fall. Tours at Maybury Farm are an opportunity for children and families to engage in hands-on learning experiences. And it’s a great way to get a behind-the-scenes look at Maybury Farm and its animals. Check our website (mayburyfarm.org) for tour details.
If you are celebrating a special occasion (or not), a fall party at Maybury Farm is unforgettable! In addition to the usual farm fun, your guests can enjoy a wagon ride to and from the corn maze and even warm up at a bonfire. Don’t forget to pack the makings for s’mores! Check our website (mayburyfarm.org) for event/party details.
Although Maybury Farm officially closes its 2024 season on Sunday, October 27, watch for some exciting holiday events! The farm will open the first two weekends in December for holiday fun, where you can enjoy music, decorations, crafts, farm animals, shopping in the general store and visiting with Santa in his antique sleigh in the century-old barn!
Plus, the Northville Community Foundation’s Annual Home Holiday Tour will take place Friday and Saturday, November 22 and 23 – get into the holiday spirit as you tour some of the area’s most beautiful seasonally decorated homes! Ticket sales support NCF’s mission to enhance the community through scholarships and grants, and contributes to the care of Maybury Farm’s animals during the winter season.
Thanks to you, the 2024 season got off to a wonderful start! You’ve filled the camps, programs, events and our hearts with your continued support. Please check out our website at mayburyfarm.org to see all we have to offer.
