Located at 115 Elm Street, Poppy Beauty Design is Wyandotte’s one-stop shop for all things beauty, with a focus on permanent makeup.
At her salon, owner and licensed esthetician Poppy Reyna provides sought-after services, including different types of eyebrows, permanent eyeliner, lip blushing, skincare treatments and more.
“I love all things beauty and fell in love with the beauty industry when I started in 1999,” she said.
She started off doing nails and skincare before delving into the world of permanent makeup. She is now a multi-certified permanent makeup artist and color theory specialist, who works with each client to meet their individual needs and provide the beauty results they’re looking for.
Reyna was born in Wyandotte, having lived in the city for a part of her youth, and today its quaint atmosphere, desirable downtown, prime location and the improvements she’d seen happening in the city drew her back in.
She got her business started by renting a suite at the Offices of Wyandotte before opening her storefront on Elm Street three years later in 2023.
“Wyandotte does a lot with the community and really supports small businesses, so I wanted that sense of community and being able to work with the small businesses around me to feed off each other and help each other out,” Reyna said.

Reyna said permanent makeup is the top service people come in for and includes microblading, powder brows, nano blading, lip blushing and eyeliner.
Her skincare treatments include Hydrafacial, microneedling, dermaplaning and chemical peels. She also offers lash lifts and tints, brow lamination, henna brow tinting, facial waxing and brow waxing and shaping.
Not only is client satisfaction and care a top priority for Reyna, but she is also dedicated to volunteering and getting involved with the community around her.
“I just love giving back to the community, so I like to do whatever I can do to help,” she said.
This holiday season, Poppy Beauty Design was involved with Downtown Wyandotte’s Small Business Saturday, vendor events, and partnered with other businesses and charities like the Downriver Foster Closet to donate winter coats to kids in need.
Reyna is also heavily involved with other community events like Wyandotte’s Third Fridays, which focus on supporting locally owned businesses in the city.
In her free time, Reyna enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, granddaughter and two dogs, and also loves traveling when she can.
