Canton's 31st Annual Liberty Fest, a three-day summer festival featuring plenty of family fun, live entertainment, festival food, and more, returns to Heritage Park June 13-15, 2024! As in years past, this exciting festival will be held on the picturesque grounds of Canton Heritage Park, located behind the Canton Administration Building at 1150 S. Canton Center Road.
Drawing tens of thousands of visitors to Heritage Park each year, Canton Liberty Fest will be held on Thursday, June 13 from 1 p.m.–10 p.m., Friday, June 14 from 1 p.m. – 11 p.m., and Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. This year’s presenting sponsors are Neehee’s and Pizzawala’s. Additional sponsors include: Schoolcraft College, Trinity Health IHA Medical Group, Michigan Army National Guard, and WeatherGard.

This year’s Liberty Fest Fireworks display will be held on Friday, June 14, just after dark. Hosting this amazing fireworks display on Friday evening will provide the option for a Saturday night rain date, if necessary.
Celebrate Juneteenth with Canton Township and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. – Ypsilanti, MI Chapter, at Liberty Fest on Saturday, June 15, from 3:30-10:00 p.m. This special celebration, which is sponsored by WeatherGard, will take place at the Amphitheater Stage and will include a variety of special guest speakers and award presentations, as well as featured black-owned businesses. Entertainment will include a performance by the Detroit Social Club Band at 3:30 p.m.; a “Learn How to Hustle” demonstration at 5:30 p.m.; DJ Z-Light will spin R&B and Hip Hop favorites starting at 7:30 p.m.; and Larry Lee and the Back in the Day Band will take the stage at 8 p.m.
All of the action will take place in beautiful Heritage Park, located behind the Canton Administration Building and the Canton Public Library, just west of Canton Center Road between Cherry Hill and Summit Parkway. Returning Liberty Fest Favorites
Canton’s largest community celebration promises plenty of fabulous fun for all ages during this highly anticipated summer event. Expect to experience the following Liberty Fest favorites, including:
• Carnival Zone: Presented once again by the Skerbeck Entertainment Group, all ages will be entertained by the variety of rides offered. Designated sensory hours will be held on Thursday, June 14 from 1-3 p.m., for guests who are sensitive to loud noises. Mega three-day bands and discounted single-day bands are only available online through Thursday, June 13 at 9 a.m. Check out www.cantonlibertyfest.com for more information on pricing for ride wristbands.
• Beer and Wine Garden: On Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., this is the place to be if you like to enjoy some refreshing adult beverages while listening to awesome tunes. In addition, proceeds from this year’s sales will benefit the Partnership for the Arts and Humanities.
• Fireworks – Sponsored by Michigan Army National Guard: Once again this spectacular fireworks display will be the first of its kind for the season in the Metro Detroit area. Join us Friday night in Heritage Park, just after dark for a memorable display that is sure to wow the crowds. Bring your lawn chairs, grab your friends and family, and then select any spot in the park – there isn't a bad location to view the show! Please remember that no pets, rollerblades or skateboards are allowed. A supervised bike corral is also provided. Just sit back, enjoy, and watch the fireworks light the sky!
• Liberty Fest Run: Runners, walkers, strollers, wheelchairs, and hand-bikers are welcome to participate in a one-mile, 5K, or 10K walk/run on Saturday, June 15 that is organized by Running Fit, Inc. The 5K starts at 8 a.m., followed by the 10K at 8:30 and the one mile at 10 a.m. This year’s theme will be Red, White, and Blue! So, be sure to deck yourself from head to toe in our nation’s colors and run, walk, or stroll through Canton neighborhood streets and the Lower Rouge Trail to the finish line! • Pancake Breakfast: Saturday morning's annual Canton Lions Club Pancake Breakfast will be held in the north pavilions from 8-11 a.m. (while supplies last). Chris Cakes staff will be onsite flippin’ up some major excitement. Be sure to stop by to meet Bluey and Barbie, as these life-sized characters make a special appearance from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• Family Fun Day – Sponsored by Trinity Health IHA Medical Group: On Saturday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., a Free Family Fun Day will be held on the north side of the park adjacent to the carnival, where special community organizations will be engaging with guests and providing interactive activities for children to have enjoyable and memorable experiences.
• International Festival: Travel the globe during this multi-cultural event that everyone should check out! On Saturday, June 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Canton LIVE! Stage, there will be entertainment representing a variety of countries including China, India, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Ireland, Poland, Sri Lanka, and the United States.
• Musical Acts Each year Liberty Fest works hard to bring the best entertainers around to this celebration, and this year is no different. Enjoy two stages jam-packed with live entertainment featuring local and regionally acclaimed artists. These talented musicians and performers will thoroughly entertain you and your entire family.
